about

Mauritanian songwriter and singer, Madani has been passionate about art and social affairs since his teenage years in Nouadhibou.
Involved in music for more than 10 years, he has always made it a point of honor to promote intercultural dialogue and mixing of genres in his music. In 2018, for his creations, he is inspired by the concept of "ndiakhasse" ("mix" in Wolof). The music he composes and the lyrics he writes are rooted in it. Thus, after 6 years of Rap / Hip-Hop composition, his musical style evolved in 2012 towards Reggae and then towards Blues - Reggae. This musical eclecticism combines African blues and reggae, thanks to the inclusion of traditional Fulani instruments from Mauritania such as the Hudu and the Buba, fused with classical blues and reggae rhythms.
In constant evolution and experimentation, he is an instrumentalist (guitar, piano and bass) but it is through singing that he tries to express, with humility and determination, his musical sensitivity and the social issues that surround him. At the beginning of 2020, his EP " Malu " reinforces with positivism and spirituality this determination.
